[Japanese Customs] Hinamatsuri (March 3rd)

[Hina Matsuri] taking place on March 3rd, is an annual event in which family’s pray for the health and growth of girls. It is also known as the Seasonal Peach Event. Boy’s Day is on May 5th.
 During Hina Matsuri, elaborate dolls are placed on tiered platforms with water chestnut mochi, sweet white sake, sweetened rice flour cakes, and peach blossoms as offerings.
