Higan Lion Dance in Akaeda

It is a lion dance event performed by 3 people dressed up in special lion costumes together with Japanese drum performance. The 3 lions are Tayu lion, female lion and male lion.

Location: 1.Omachi-dori, Aizu Wakamatsu city on March 17th, 2005

Anchin Nenbutsu Dance in Shirakawa

It is a commemoration ceremony for Anchin, a Buddhist monk who played traditional Japanese art of Nou and Kabuki in Doujyouji tale. Dancing and singing are performed to pray for repose souls of Anchin monk on the anniversary of his death.

Chakai in English

Chakai is the traditional Japanese art of Tea Ceremony. The Fukushima Prefectural English Society will be holding one on Sunday, March 27th, 2005. Come and experience all the grace and history of Chakai in English! Everyone is welcome!
