About
the FIA The Fukushima International Association was founded in November, 1988
by the publicand private sectors of Fukushima to be the centre of international
exchange in the Prefecture. Our aim is to promote international understanding
and foster strong relationships between the citizens of Fukushima Prefecture
and the rest of the We maintain a drop-in lounge where guests can browse our extensive
library of English and Japanese books, read local newspapers, or browse
the internet through our public computer terminal, where FIA guests
can surf the web or check their
e-mail at no charge. Printing is available, but a small charge will apply.

The FIA is located on route 4, adjacent to Heiwa dori.
Our hours are: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30am until 5:30pm. The FIA provides the following facilities to its local citizens in addition to various equipment rentals and event consultation services. For more information, visit us during our regular business hours.
If you are looking for a venue to host an international exchange
or a study group, contact us and inquire about our conference
room. The FIA conference room (photo on the left) seats up to 30
people, and can be booked for extremely reasonable fees.
Library The FIA is proud to provide local citizens with an extensive, free,
library of English and other multilingual books.
All genres are available, including travel guides, fiction,
and even romance novels.
