Things you should know about working in Japan
¡Japanese
Laws and Labour Laws There are two main steps to searching for work in Japan. The first, is to go to your nearest Hello Work office, which is a government-funded job allocation agency, and register your qualifications with them. Once registered, Hello Work will contact you when they find a suitable employer. However, please remember you will need to be accompanied by a Japanese speaker to do this, for most Hello Work offices do not provide multilingual support. For a list of those that do, click here. Waiting for a match through Hello Work may or may not take a long time, depending on demand. The amount of time it requires Hello Work to find a match for you tends to take much longer if you are living in a rural part of Japan (like Fukushima). For this reason, it is highly reccomended that you continueto keep searching for jobs while waiting by using local newspapers (every Sunday, there are advertisments for jobs in Fukushima in the Minpo and Minyuu) as well as websites designated for foreigners seeking employment in Japan.
