Experiencing Ikebana in a Japanese Language Class.

2022.10.05

There are several Japanese language classes in Fukushima City. One of them, "Hello Japanese," recently held an ikebana experience event to introduce learners to Japanese culture.
The teacher explained how to make beautiful ikebana forms, how to choose flowers, and how to arrange colors. The participants also studied Japanese words related to ikebana, such as "Chuushuu” (the middle of Autumn in the traditional seasonal cycle) and "Yaku o harai” (to ward off evil). All the participants seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience.
